The studio was established in 1996 under the name of Biro Prostor, Marjanca Rustja s.p, firstly as a studio by the architect and sole proprietor Marjanca Rustja. In 2000 architect Božidar Rustja joined the firm which then grew to a "family company". In 2003 the firm underwent a change in its legal status from a sole proprietorship into a limited liability company.

The focus of the studio has been the urbanistic and architectural planning of residential and commercial buildings, often also the planning of specific spatial solutions, and assistance to clients in solving administratively demanding cases of interventions in the environment. Our work focuses primarily on the areas of the Upper Soča Valley, the Central Soča Valley and the Goriško region. Our clients are offered a complete service of planning, starting from the outline scheme of the building and its insertion in the environment, through the elaboration of the outline architectural solutions, as well as the preparation of the whole project documentation and acquisition of the necessary administrative permissions.
